Prep Choir is the Colorado Children's Chorale's youngest Performance Program training choir. Under the direction of conductor and Chorale alumna Libby Cotten (pictured above), Prep Choir members rehearse once a week on either Mondays, Tuesdays, or Thursdays at a Chorale rehearsal site. This 2023-24 season, Prep Choir members range from 7 to 10 years old and represent 54 different schools across the Denver metro area.

This season's repertoire highlights include:

  • "Crawdad Song," arranged by Aden G. Lewis
  • "The Path to the Moon," lyrics by Madeline C. Thomas, composed by Eric H. Thiman
  • Kicking off The Trail, music and lyrics by Chorale alums Aron Accurso and Adam Overett

Ms. Cotten is excited for Prep Choir to perform the above pieces (and more) at the Chorale’s 50 Years of Brilliance anniversary concert on April 20th and Performing Small Miracles concert on May 11th.
